He has a longstanding interest in upper limb (shoulder and elbow) problems and has worked as a specialist physiotherapist in this area for the past five years. He receives referrals from Orthopaedic consultants from across the Yorkshire region and beyond for complex shoulder and elbow problems. He works very closely with local consultants and is able to collaborate with them to optimise your shoulder or elbow treatment.

SShoulder PainShoS

Shoulder pain is a common problem. The shoulder is a very mobile joint which relies on strength and control to work properly. Injury or failure of these structures to work together can lead to pain.

I specialise in the assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation of all shoulder and elbow problems. Rehabilitation of upper limb problems commonly involves work elsewhere in the 'kinetic chain' such as the core, hips and legs.

I do not carry a general physiotherapy caseload and do not see people for specific lower limb problems.

I am a Harrogate Physiotherapist and registered provider with BUPA, vitality health and cigna.

Why us

I am passionate about providing the best possible level of care. As a specialist in shoulder and elbow all of my professional development is focussed on this area, and I attend many courses and conferences a year to stay abreast of the most recent evidence base. As the physio rep for the NWYSES I meet with consultants and fellow shoulder specialist physios to discuss complex cases on a quarterly basis.

My aim is to help you get better - physiotherapy often has a role to play in that, but sometimes it may not. Part of what I can offer is an honest and expert opinion on the best way forward. I work in close collaboration with local surgeons and radiologists.
